You will normally be asked to sign an agents' Terms & Conditions to instigate formal instructions. The agent should make it clear what the different types of appointment and terminology mean. Some agents will "lock you in" for a set period of time or a minimum set period of time, especailly if it is for a sole agency and this can be for quite lengthy periods, sometimes up to 3 or 4 months.

At TMD properties, we are confident, both in our quality of service and our ability to find a buyer within a reasonable time-frame. We give you the option of our standard 12 week Agreement or, if you prefer more flexibility we offer a "no lock-in" Agreement where all that is required is that you give us two week's written notice should you wish to cancel or change the type of appointment.

We try to make or Terms & Conditions as simple as possible to avoid confusion - they fit on to a single sheet of A4 paper!
