Highgate School
Caters for children from 3-18, becoming fully co-educational. The Senior School is situated at the top of the village and the Junior and Pre-preparatory schools are located in Bishopswood Road
The school was founded in 1565 by Sir Roger Cholmeley and its former pupils include Gerard Manley Hopkins and Sir John Betjeman (who was taught at the school by none other than T.S. Elliot!), Sir John Tavener, Sir Clive Sinclair, Murray Walker and Barry Norman.
